As you may have noticed, I’ve been doing a lot of writing and not a lot of printmaking. My class projects have been taking up a lot of my time. However, I would like to get on top of my printmaking again.
Greeting cards are one of the best ways to display and share printmaking. They can be made for any occasion and for any person. Whether you buy it at the store or make it yourself, its sure to put a smile on someones face.
I enjoy reading the messages in greeting cards, I could spend hours in the greeting card aisle looking for the perfect card to fit the occasion. I especially enjoy when there is a personal note written inside the cards that I receive.
The process of printmaking ends with a handmade object so there is an added personal touch for the recipient. Printmaking is usually done in limited quantities making each print extra special.
For my next project I would like to make greeting cards. Easter is coming up along with my confirmation. As of right now I would like to make a personalized card for my confirmation sponsor, and President of Marywood University, Sister Mary Persico.
Tune in next week to see my greeting card making process and make sure to leave any suggestions for what I should do next in the comments below!
