The fall semester is slowly approaching its end. Before the chaos of finals and the end of the semester events, it is time for the Distinguished Visiting Artist Lecture! This time around the guest speaker is Glenn Goldberg, a painter based in New York. The event is on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 3:30 pm in the Comerford Theatre at Marywood University. Following the lecture will be a reception to meet the artist Mahady Gallery located in the Shields Visual Arts Center. The lecture and the reception are free and open to the public! Check out the Marywood Art Department Facebook Events page for lecture details.
Every time Marywood hosts a guest lecturer the events are always varying, it is never the same. Each artist brings their own flare with them on how they speak and decide to present themselves. Since every artist has their own style and information they want to give to the audience, each event is unique. I highly recommend attending these events because hearing from successful artists is important to our own artistic development. At the end of the lecture, the floor is opened up to questions, if time remains, and that is also an added bonus to the lecture. You get a more personal feel and understanding of the artist. November 10, at 3:30 pm, mark your calendars for an artist lecture by Glenn Goldberg to learn more about him and his artworks!
