So long. Farewell. Auf Weidersehen, goodbye…
Yes, saying goodbye is so hard that I had to include a Sound of Music reference to help me out. Last weekend I realized that I would soon have to say “so long, farewell” to the seniors of the art department. I attended this year’s Senior Show, which featured works from seniors of all art majors, from Art Therapy to Ceramics and much more. It was really cool to see what they had all been working on, but bittersweet because I had gotten to know a lot of the art seniors this year and I knew that they would be leaving soon. Goodbyes are tough, but I know that this talented group will be successful wherever they go next. They have set some high standards for my 2017 senior show, that’s for sure!
All of the pieces were spread out within the two art buildings and their galleries. Also in the Maslow Gallery was a show called “Transcending the Simplicity of Form.” This show was curated by Amanda Hinkel, a fellow blogger and Arts Administration senior. Her work in putting this show together was related to her Contemporary Art Independent Study.
Below are some pieces from the show that caught my eye as I was looking around. Feel free to take a look and comment on your favorites!
