This week, I returned from my vacation to Wildwood, New Jersey. I brought both my digital and 35mm film cameras on this trip. Unfortunately, my film negatives will not be ready for this week’s post, so stay tuned for my next blog to see the results!

These photos were taken at both Wildwood and Cape May. When I’m on vacation, I tend to take fewer portrait photos and take more still lifes. It’s a good way to make me more flexible in my skills and not to stick to one kind of style. I treat them like doing an exercise assignment. It helps me focus on the rules of photography more and to take my time. I feel that with still photos, I can slow down and think about the elements of art.

If you would like to see more photos from my trip, come back next week to see the results of my film.
