Holiday Market this Weekend!

Looking for something to do this upcoming weekend? Well, visit the Holiday Market at the Scranton Public Market this Saturday!

On Nov 22, 2025, between 12 – 5 PM on the second floor Marketplace at Steamtown at 300 Lackawanna Avenue in Scranton, PA, over 40 vendors are joining together to sell a variety of goods. There will be a large selection of handmade gifts, festive items, food, sweets, live music, and wine tasting.

Note: The wonderful designs and illustrations done for the Holiday Market’s advertisements were drawn by Jessica Nowakowski or @regalstars on Instagram! She is a student here at Marywood University :]

On the Scranton Public Market’s Facebook page, some of their vendors have been given a spotlight.

Check out this: “Hillcrest Creations by Randy” creates custom pet portraits with stained glass! A super nice way to commemorate your furry loved ones.

Or check out Professor Chris Medley’s “Crow Designs Letterpress Studio”! Her work will be featured, and she’ll have a bunch of handmade greeting cards, journals, lace ornaments, etc., for everyone to look at and buy.

There are so so so many vendors at this event who deserve lots of love and support (below is Holy Smoke) (Smoked Cheese Vendor)! If you’re interested in peeking at more of the vendors or keeping up with local events occurring in Scranton, keep an eye on the Scranton Public Market Facebook page!

If you miss this event, there will be another one on December 13, 2025 from 12 – 5 PM!

But! Maybe you’re not interested in buying anything. Well, directly before the Holiday Market, there will be a Santa Parade in Downtown Scranton including students from Marywood! This event begins at 9:15 AM and will feature so much festive fun. It should last until around noontime, and it’s sure to be a blast.

One more festive insight – 30 Spirit Christmas locations have opened up in the United States! There’s one in Whitehall, Pennsylvania that I personally visited and it was absolutely wonderful. I did not expect to get something so silly so close to my home! It turned out to be extraordinarily popular among my community and has put me in such a festive mood. There’s a large selection of decorations, clothes, and accessories to browse through. There’s even a touch of Halloween in some of the items!

Get in the holiday spirit, be safe, and enjoy Thanksgiving.
