A popular choice of major in the Art Department here at Marywood University is illustration. Being able to draw can go a long way in the art world. There are plenty of jobs for those of you who are getting your degree in illustration. Whether you become an animator, political cartoonist, book illustrator, graphic novelist, muralist, or something else, what you study here at Marywood will help you.

Marywood has an excellent illustration program. The curriculum for the illustration program is vigorous and it makes sure you know how to handle yourself as an illustrator when you are looking for work in your new career. It is an illustrator’s job to combine art, design, and creative skills to develop ideas and produce original visual images for a wide range of products and services. Marywood’s illustration program allows you to mold your art into your specific style. While working here at Marywood you develop a style that you can apply to your projects you make once you get a job. Even after you graduate, the professors here, along with our Career Development Center, can continue to be resources.
