Hello!

Have you ever had 45 minutes and wanted to watch something filled with lovely character interactions and gives a feeling of something that I can only describe as beautiful? If your answer to this if yes, then I have the perfect movie for you. If your answer is no, still give it a watch!

Into The Forest Of Firefly Lights follows Hotaru, a six year old girl visiting her grandmother out in the country side for the summer. She disappears into a forest one day and meets a spirit named Gin. Hotaru continues to visit Gin over the years and he watches Hotaru as she grows up. Being a spirit, Gin ages very slowly and it’s not long before Hotaru catches up to him. Without giving too much away about the ending, all I’m going to say is that it is very bittersweet.

The movie definitely starts out a little slow, but as you watch the characters understand each other and as Hotaru gets older, it definitely picks up. It doesn’t have the most breathtaking visuals, but they are still easy to appreciate.

And now for a little bit about what I am doing in my 3D Animation class! We’ve been given the assignment to make an opening title sequence for a movie, so I will definitely be sharing what I’ve done in my next post!
