So Invincible is back, and it is known to be one of the most-watched superhero shows on Prime Video. Now, for those of you who may be unaware of what the heck is Invincible, it tells the story of a young man named Mark Grayson, whose dad is from a different planet called Viltrum. He inherits his powers and becomes the hero known as Invincible. Now the show is directly adapted from the comic, but with a lot of changes. In the original comics, it is often praised for its art style and the writing as well, and one of my favorite characters to come out of the comics and the show is Tech Jacket. Tech Jacket is a superhero in the world of Invincible, and the only difference between the comic and TV version is the apparent gender switch. I never had any problems considering these changes, but the only thing that bothers me about her character design is the way they designed her suit, considering it looks simpler rather than the comic version.
The helmet is clearly bigger on the show version, and her suit looks simplistic, while the comic version’s helmet is smaller, and I love the detail. But maybe due to the amount of budget, they cannot add the amount of detail from the comics as they would like to. People have also been complaining about the animation, considering the budget Amazon has been giving the animators for each episode. I just hope we can get good fight scenes and more out of it, rather than what we have now, someday. But I just want to praise for a moment how the comic style is really eye-catching, and it is kind of my inspiration when drawing as well. You should all check out the artwork of Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley; both are mainly responsible for all the artwork in Invincible. Anyways episodes of Invincible come out every Wednesday, and I cannot wait for the next one. This is all I have for this time, stay tuned and see you soon given the budget Amazon has been allocating to.
