Packaging Updates

Hi, everyone! This week, I’m posting the finished products from my last two packaging design projects, which I couldn’t include in my previous posts. Last month, I wrote about my label design project, which I chose to create a wine company named Mount Nysa Vineyard. It was based on the Greek god of wine, Dionysus, because when he was a baby, he was left on the mythological mountain, Mount Nysa. When my posting was due, I did not yet have my final product assembled or photographed, so I was unable to put those pictures in last month. However, it has since been finished, so here are some photos of my complete wine label:

Earlier this month, I wrote about my chaos packaging project, which I chose to do a set of candles themed after popular soda flavors. I bought some glass tumblers from Amazon and printed out my labels to apply to the glasses. I also painted the wooden lids of each tumbler to match the colors of its design. To physically mock up the candle, I thought about actually making or melting down a candle to put inside the glass. However, that would have taken me a long time, and I don’t really know much about making candles. Instead, I decided to put some paper inside the glass to simulate the product, along with a tea light for the candle wick. Here are the photos of the finished products:

Packaging Design has been one of my favorite classes during my time at Marywood. Our next project is focusing on sustainability and how to create and design packaging in an eco-friendly way. I’m still in the research phase of that project, but I will definitely be writing about my ideas in my next blog posting.

I hope you guys enjoyed my finished products for my projects as much as I enjoyed making them. If you want to see any of my designs in person, they will be on display at the Senior Exhibition in Insalaco from April 18th to May 16th, 2026.

Thank you all for reading!

– Cecelia 🙂
