I have learned a great deal at Maywood University and within my program of graphic design. I think one of the most prominent things that I have learned is that you always want to continue updating your portfolio so that when possible job seekers look at what you have done they can see the most recent work. Not only do you want a hard copy of your work (printed version) but you would also want a digital copy (like a website or interactive PDF). A digital copy is also really important when you want to show interactive design that you may have created.

Portfolios are very important for design majors because you want to show in your interview that you are a good potential candidate. You also want to have a wide variety of projects and styles, especially when you are coming out of college. You have experienced so many different types of design that you want to make sure that you present what you know in a professional way.
