Last week I talked about my process of making a website for the fictitious company, Fog City Hot Spots. As a part of that project I also had to design a logo for the made up company, and I really enjoyed doing so.
I’m now starting to work on the design for my next website project, and I got the opportunity to create another logo. This time it was for the Circle Drive-In movie theater in Dickson City. I decided to re-design their logo to fit my new website design, and once again it was a really fun process. I wanted to give the company a new modern feel, so I thought it would be a neat idea to make the C in “circle” wrap around the rest of the word giving the illusion of an actual circle. I also thought it would be a cool idea to put the text inside a film reel border. Overall, I wanted to keep the design simple and fresh, and this was the design that I came up with so far. The colors I have used in the logo will also be carried throughout the rest of the website’s design, and I am looking forward to seeing my final finished product.
Simple, clean and readable. Those are the basics to create a logo that identify your brand and make it memorable and successful.
