Recently the graphic design classes that I am taking this semester have had a few extra service learning logo opportunities coming up within the next month. For the classes and clubs that I am in, so far we have FOUR off-campus logo competitions that I am very excited to share about! One of the great things about 4 different logos is that they represent a variety of categories.
The 4 so far that we have the opportunity for engaging in are:
- The Railrider’s Pierogie Logo (Baseball team in Scranton, PA)
- Pocono Forest & Water Conservation Landscape Logo
- A logo for one of our teachers who is working with the common core.
- Athletes Caring Together Logo
Participating in off-campus logo competitions is a great way to keep up with creating logos and flexing your design skills. In addition, if your design is picked its a great way to have your name (and your design!) out there. Plus it is also a great portfolio piece as well as something to place on your resume. It’s going to be a busy April but I can’t wait to get started and see what happens!
