I haven’t been up to too much lately, so I’m going to share the process being some of the logos I made this month.
Lettermark
My great friend just received her Bachelor’s in Music Therapy and is currently taking her exams to be able to practice. I made her a lettermark and set of icons she can use in a portfolio website. I used a light purple as the main color because it is her favorite color and it reflects calming properties which she can emulate in her practice.

Vellichor Literary
I was so excited when I found out the magazine I’m part of, Vellichor Literary, was doing a logo contest and so I knew I had to enter. The creative brief was a monogram logo with matcha tones and an illustration of their lovable cat mascot, Kiwi. I used a serif typeface with built in weathered effects to give the logo an expression of a cozy cafe.

Annesque
Lately, I have made some new friends at Annesque and I occasionally do volunteer work for them. Annesque is a small literary magazine focusing on film and cinema. They use a swan as their primary icon so I wanted to make an icon of a swan with a tv so people know that they are a cinema-focused magazine.
OFF SZN
A few months ago, I created a magazine with my classmates called OFF SZN, a sports magazine about athletes lives during the off season. I’ve been playing with the idea of bringing it back, so I challenged myself to make a new logo. I had a vision for bold typography with letters weaving together. Once I weaved through the letters, I noticed the “O” couldn’t weave into the rest of the letters. That’s when I got the idea to turn the O into a ball. I grabbed a basic, free .png of a baseball and added the bitmap effect for a fun modern texture.
