Maslow Printmaking Exhibit

PRINTMAKING: LINOCUT AND WOODBLOCK

Maslow Study Gallery
February 10, 2017 – March 5, 2017

The current exhibition for art students to spend time and study their discipline is focused on printmaking. The range of prints explores the techniques and effects that are achieved from woodcuts and a mixed media process.

As soon as I entered the exhibition myself, my attention was grabbed and directed towards the print Two Paintings Sleeping Muse by Roy Lichtenstein. His use of bold, thick, lines and a vibrant yellow is intriguing.

The best part about the Maslow Study Gallery is that you can read detailed information about each artist and their process of art making. Even if you are not taking a printmaking class it is still good to learn more about other art processes and artist.
