Motion Graphics!

Hi everyone! This semester, I am taking plenty of art classes, so I am super excited to share all of the different projects I’m working on.

One of the classes I’m taking is Motion Graphics with Paul Georgetti. While I am excited to take this class, I am nervous as well. I have never done any type of animation, motion graphics, or video editing before. I know how much time and energy goes into it so I am scared but definitely very eager to learn since it’s so interesting.

For our first project, we had to create a GIF about ourselves. It just had to include our name, and then we could do anything else we liked.

This is what I created:

This was created in Adobe Photoshop (which for the record, I had NO idea you could even create frame animations in Photoshop!). I made my name appear as if it was being typed on the screen because I wanted to do something different than just my name appearing on the screen. I included the colorful dots because I like to think a lot of my work is colorful – my design and my photography.

That’s all! I am beyond excited for this semester to get moving. I am very excited to start my art classes and even more excited to share my projects with you guys!
