Right before I head back to Marywood to start my field hockey preseason, I got one last trip in with my family to Colorado Springs, Colorado! I had a blast, and it was quite a trip. Over the course of the weekend, we got to hang out at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center and shoot some shotguns, pistols, and air rifles with a bunch of Olympians. In between all that, we did some sight seeing and visited a luxury resort called the Broadmoor, and we also got to check out a National Landmark called the Garden of the Gods. I got plenty of cool photos from every part of the trip.
Here is a little glimpse into the USA Olympic Training Centers in Colorado Springs. The entire campus is lined with international flags and pictures of all the sports that train there.
We spent one night walking around the Broadmoor before eating dinner at one of the many lavish restaurants they had there. The entire place was so large it seemed like a mini village to me. Along with all the food options, we also saw they have a pool, spa, and golf course as well. I enjoyed the way they decorated everything, especially the pool area with the purple and yellow paint on the walls.
The last part of our trip was a spur of the moment trip to visit the Garden of the Gods. I don’t know why, but I pictured just a little garden so this was quite a neat surprise. Scranton has some seriously cool mountains, but not like these ones.
This was such a wonderful way to end my summer. I love all the pictures I was able to take, and they will just keep reminding me of the great time I had. Now it’s time to get back to Marywood and continue with all things graphic design!
