On April 5, 2025, there was a worldwide protest against President Trump of the United States and the Trump Administration. I was able to attend the one in Downtown Scranton, PA that day as a student photojournalist. I was excited because I had wanted to photograph a protest for a long time, and I finally had a chance to do so. Since taking Photojournalism-ART-320 with photography Instructor Aimee Dilger, I have been wanting to expand on my photojournalism skills. Even though I am the current photography editor for The Wood Word, Marywood University’s online news source, I wanted to cover something hard-hitting and a big event.

I wish that I were at the protest at the start because there were a lot more people there, but I’m still happy that I was able to get some photos.
