Print Day in May

Print Day in May is celebrating on the first Saturday of May. Is was created as a way to unite the printmaking community. It encourages print makers to create prints on the same day.

Print Day in May was brought to life in 2007 by the Monterey Peninsula College (MPC) Printmakers (formerly known as the MPC Fine Art Print Club). This international printmaking event includes prizes for participants from different sponsors as well as the opportunity to contribute to the Print Day in May blog with a simple registration.

In 2018, artists from all 50 states in the U.S. and 46 different countries participated in the Print Day in May and participation keeps growing every year. What began locally at the Monterey Peninsula College (MCP) in California has now become a worldwide event.

I found out about this event a little late but next year my name will be on the participant list. Will yours?
