Printmaking Events

Hello everyone! This week I thought I would share some February 2020 printmaking events happening in Pennsylvania. If you are able to, I recommend attending one or two of these events. There is always something new to learn and every instructor offers a new perspective.

Feb. 9, 16, 23 Explore Printmaking on Free Fun Sundays

Make your own masterpiece at the Allentown Art Museum inspired by the collection available at the museum. This event is kid-friendly.

Feb. 16 Monotype Workshop

Explore the art of monotype, the painterly printmaking technique. Create dark and light field monotypes and trace monotypes, using both hand-printing and press techniques at PAFA (Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts) in Philadelphia. This is an opportunity for students.

Feb. 22 Printmaking Creativity Exploration Workshop w/Joe Crookston

Join Joe Crookston for this 3-hour printmaking workshop at The Cooperage Project in Honesdale, PA from 1-4pm. Limited to 23 participants.

Feb. 22 Intro to Screenprinting Full Day Workshop

In this beginning course at The Soapbox in Philadelphia, you will learn the basics of screenprinting. Participants will bring a prepared image and we will provide all the materials, tools and training.

Feb. 25 Printmaking Art Class for Adults

In this three-hour class from 10-1pm at the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA, adult students of all abilities will incorporate texture, surface, color, and design in works of art while exploring a variety of monoprint, gel print, and relief printmaking techniques.
