Hi Everyone! It’s been a busy summer already, but I finally sat down for an hour to do a little watercoloring. I really wanted to try to paint some dogs with a fun background, so I attempted to do my best friend’s dog. Her name is Bailey and she is a small little brown doodle and she is so cute! I think it came out relatively good, I didn’t want it to be too realistic and I added some details with black pen after. That’s my favorite technique when it comes to water coloring. I also attempted to do my dog as well, but he is all black and I did not get the proportions right on his face, I couldn’t figure out how to make it look good while being all black so I got very frustrated lol.

I also just made some different colored gradient squares that I then drew plants and flowers on top of, as sort of a watercolor collage. I actually did this on the back of what was my attempt at painting my dog, so the texture of the paper is different on the back. I am happy with how both of these came out and it was a fun little getaway because I haven’t actually painted or done something creative in a while.

Unfortunately that is all I have for now, hopefully I will have some more free time to be more creative in the next 2 weeks! Hope to see you then!
