Ruth Hardinger visited Marywood on March 26, 2018 and held an artist talk as part of the Distinguished Visiting Artist Lecture Series at Marywood.

Ruth was very passionate about her travels. She shared that she was very inspired by her visit to Mexico and that she was inspired greatly by the Aztec cultures. Ruth shared that experiencing different cultures on her travels was a huge inspiration to her.

Ruth also shared many of her pieces with us. She showed different pieces made from many different mediums. I think it’s awesome how versatile Ruth was. She didn’t restrict herself to one medium.

Ruth told us that she created paintings with pieces of metal in them. I thought those were the coolest pieces!
