Over the summer I had the opportunity to design a logo for a local band in Scranton. They had a rough idea of what they wanted and pretty much gave me free reign over the design. After a lot of trial and error, I was able to come up with something that the whole band had agreed on. I’m very lucky that I was able to do this, and being able to work directly for a client was definitely a great experience.
This past weekend I was finally able to see the logo in action. I saw one of the band members and was able to talk to him about the logo in person. He told me that everybody was really happy with the way it came out, and they ordered stickers and t-shirts with the logo on it to sell at their shows. He gave me one of the shirts and seeing it in person was really satisfying.
When you do work for people that are far away, you don’t always get to see it actually being used. Being able to finally see something I created in action was really amazing, and I hope that I still feel this way about seeing my designs in the future.
