Hello everyone! I hope all is well. This past week my photojournalism professor assigned a project pertaining to sports photography. She was very open on what we could photograph and what we considered a sport.
In my area many of the schools had shut down for a week or two because of the virus so I wasn’t able to photograph a traditional sport. I went and photographed my best friend riding her horse.
For this photo shoot I was standing on the outside of the pen because her horse was acting up a little and I didn’t want to add to the situation because the horse doesn’t know me that well. Even though I was standing on the outside of the pen I was still able to capture the action of her riding and training her horse.
The photographs that I am going to share with you are of my friend using a lunge line with her horse. This is just a long rope that gets attached to her halter. She used this because the horse wasn’t listening to her commands, and sometimes the just need to run it out on a lead line.
That’s all for this week! Stay safe and healthy! I’ll talk to you all next time!
