Meet Elizabeth!

Name: Elizabeth Berwind

Year: Class of 2023

Major: Illustration

I am majoring in art because I want to pursue different artistic and creative careers. Creating artwork never fails to make me happy. Having a facet of visual expression will always hold great value to me.

The kind of things that inspire me are studio ghibli movies, a good meal, and traveling.

My favorite class so far was Computer Graphics I during Foundation Year because I learned so much about Adobe programs. I have used those programs for my portfolio since.

When I’m not in class I am sketching or watching artists work on YouTube.

The coolest thing I’ve done so far at Marywood was create cell phone cases in my Computer Graphics I class.

When I graduate I’d like to explore multiple careers in illustration and graphic design.

I’d recommend the Art program at Marywood because the professors in the art department are incredibly helpful and have a strong focus on each individual.

The best spot to be on campus is the painting studios and lounge in Insalaco.
