Student Spotlight: Fall Semester

Happy fall semester! It’s great to be back and get back into the swing of things. Student spotlight will be back to its usual posts each week that highlights a Marywood art student starting next Tuesday! (September 3rd)

For anyone that is an incoming art student, this is a great time to get involved on campus and the perfect opportunity to start the semester off strong.

This week is a fantastic opportunity to crack open a fresh sketchbook of any size or color and begin recording all of your ideas and drawings for upcoming projects. It might also help you to brainstorm ideas for upcoming projects as well!

Another important use for a sketchbook is for your art history class! Many students treat art history as a normal history class and just type or write their notes in a notebook. I find it really helpful to use a sketchbook that way you can draw thumbnail sketches of the work you are studying to revisit later. The more color the better!
