As discussed in the past, there are many different types of art. One of those types of art is music, which is why I’m happy to say that Marywood is offering a summer concert series!
All events are free and open to the public and will be held at the Calabro Delfino Amphitheatre at the Learning Commons.
Sunday, August 12 @ 6:30 p.m. – Vocalist Nicole Rasmus
Vocalist Nicole Rasmus will be accompanied by Marty Ort on piano. She will perform a concert featuring a wide range of genres including: standards, jazz, Motown, Broadway, and country music. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the Fireplace Lounge in the Nazareth Student Center.
Sunday, August 19 @ 6:30 p.m. – Vocalist Chris DiMattio along with Bill Weber
Vocalist Chris DiMattio, along with Bill Weber, a retired music faculty member at Marywood University, will be saluting Sinatra. Mr. DiMattio and Mr. Weber return to the stage with a jazz band to recreate their signature performance of A Tribute to Frank Sinatra. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held on the main stage of the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts.
Sunday, August 26 @ 6:00 p.m. – Rock-Americana artist Mike Mizwinski “Miz”
“MiZ” is a soulful, Rock-Americana artist from Northeast Pennsylvania, who is a well-rounded master of both acoustic and electric guitar. In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be held in the Fireplace Lounge in the Nazareth Student Center.
I hope you can make it to one of these performances. If you’re a student, you will be back on campus to see Miz, so make sure you check that out!
