Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks, I don’t care if I ever get back. As the snow comes along, I am starting to miss baseball season. For my jewelry photography assignment for class, I decided to photograph a necklace I have. It is a signature of a baseball player.
I thought this would be a lot of fun to incorporate a some baseball elements to emphasizes the signature necklace. I brought in a jersey, a bat and balls. I had a few ideas going into this, but what I ended up with was not what I expected.
I really wanted to emphasize the sleekness of the rose gold signature. It is a very flat piece, but I wanted it to look more dimensional. I played around with a bunch of different angles. I personally think this one is the most successful.
The texture of the baseball contrasting with the sleekness of the necklace was successful. I couldn’t pick a favorite photo so I am going to show you them all.
Just a few more months till spring training, and we can get back into baseball mode. In the mean time, I think its a good time to start the Christmas countdown!
