Tattoo Art

Recently I have been talking mostly about my 3-dimensional work and I have not talked about my line work in a while. I actually have not done any of my water color and ink pieces since the summer because I just have not had any time while I am in school. Well the other night I got myself to sit down, watch some television and just doodle. I have not done any water color in the background yet, and I am not sure if I am going to on this one. I think this one might be one of my favorites because I think it looks like a flower, but a very abstract flower. Everyone that has seen it says that it would make a really cool tattoo, and just maybe I will get it as a tattoo one day, but it would be a lot of work for the tattoo artist! I think designing a tattoo would be an amazing thing to do either for me or for someone else.

Whenever I do my line pieces like this I feel as if my hands starts to cramp up! I really love practicing and working hard to make my work better and more my own style, but just to sit down and draw is a lot of work and time. I also do not think that my hand could handle doing multiple of these at once because it hurts!  I could not be able to imagine how a tattoo artist could do a tattoo for 4 or more hours without having their hand cramp. I give them props. I strive to be a dedicated artist like that!
