This semester I’m taking Jewelry II and I can’t wait to get started on my projects. This year I’ll be learning how to cut and set my own stones. While I’ll still be making castings, I can now set stones and make a matching jewelry set. I also hope to learn how to do more advanced soldering.

I hope to make more pieces of jewelry this year than I did in Jewelry I. Last year I focused on a more sculptural view and I feel like I could have done more projects. This semester is a good opportunity for me to learn different techniques when making jewelry.
