Hetty Baiz is a visual artist that works in mixed media. Her work has been shown in both solo and group exhibitions, nationally and internationally. Her work has been featured at the Incheon International Women Artists Biennale in South Korea and at the Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University. She has taken part in collaborative art projects in China, Tibet, Dubai, Australia, and France.
Baiz works with Artworks for Freedom, an organization that uses the power of art to raise awareness about modern-day slavery and human trafficking. She also works with an NGO that supports underserved women in the informal settlements outside of Cape Town, South Africa.
Baiz received her BFA from Cornell University and an MBA from Columbia University. She was awarded a fellowship to the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture where she studied with Jacob Lawrence, James Weeks and Robert Goodnough. She is represented by Susan Calloway Fine Arts, Washington, D.C.
