Thrift Store Finds

Who doesn’t love a trip to a thrift store/flea market. I don’t know about you, but I am one of those people who go and buy things that most likely will never be used but are too cool to leave there. Recently I dug out something I purchased about two years ago, for a class project.

For the photography class I am in, we had a project concentrating on glass. I was super pumped when I had a reason to use my vintage beverage bottles. I had about ten of them, but decided to use this super neat Manhattan Beverage bottle.

This project was a little bit harder to light in the studio. It was a fun struggle though. It’s like doing a puzzle, you have to have the right pieces in the right place to create the perfect image.

I couldn’t decided if I wanted to do black or white background so I played around with both and came up with this.

This project was so fun, I am happy to finally use that old bottle. A hard challenge is always a good time. If you don’t challenge yourself, you will never get better. I hope you like my photos as much as I do. I am excited to keep showing you my photographs from this class. Stay tuned!
