What a Pitti Light

Europe Rant

Why don’t Italians love peanut butter? Most stores don’t carry it. The one store that does sell it charges almost 6 Euros for a 340gm jar, and 340gm is not that much, it is less than a cup of peanut butter! I finally got the store owner to get some and hide some in the back for me, but I am afraid the word has spread to most of the American students and he has become like the drug dealer of peanut butter. He tried it and asked what do you do with peanut butter? I did not know how to answer that question. I was in shock! But what they do have is Panini Con Bolito, which is boiled meat with spices on a roll that was baked in heaven! So I have one or dozen a week. Pay attention to this: DO NOT get the Lampredotto which is made out of a cow’s stomach. I was brave and tried it but could not keep the gag reflexes down.

Weekly quote~

“I am sure the next step will be the electronic image, and I hope I shall live to see it. I trust that the creative eye will continue to function, whatever technological innovations may develop.” – Ansel Adams
