A little motivation

Recently I’ve been having a hard time finding motivation to be creative. Sometimes you just run out of ideas.

I started doing some research on how to be more creative and found a lot of people saying the same things. I would like to share my findings with you.

Read Art Quotes Daily

You can find inspiration when you find a quote that truly speaks to you or it can be the extra push you need to be creative.

Check in on Your Favorite Artists

If you can’t figure out what to work on next, check in your favorite artists and see what they’ve been working on. Maybe you’ll find a little inspiration through their blog, their style, or you might even end up making your own version of whatever it is they’re making.

Don’t forget, you can always look for new artists to follow. There are many amazing artists in the world, you’ll never stop finding new people that inspire you.

Set a Schedule

One thing I found particularly interesting in my findings is that some people were saying that it’s not motivation that you’re looking for or missing… it’s a routine.

It’s important to set time aside to be creative consistently. Use that time to focus on getting any ideas you have out of head.

Even if you don’t think they’re good ideas at first work it out a little. Whatever you make, it doesn’t have to be perfect as long as you’re creating something in the time you set aside.

Set a schedule. There is no way for you to know when you’re going to have a great idea. If you set time aside all your ideas will come out of your head and you’re bound to have a great one any day!

By setting a schedule you’re creating habits that will ultimately lead to a more creative you but don’t forget to be in a creative mindset all day long so you can bring new ideas to your scheduled creative time.
