I want to share with you a web site that I came across this week, Artshow.com. At first glance appears to have useful resources for any kind of artist. I’ve had time to look around and I can say for certain that it not only appears useful, it is useful because there is so much you can do in just one web site.
Artshow.com has been recognized in “Must-See Web Sites for for Artists” by The Artist’s Magazine and has received favorable mention in several other art publications.
Artshow.com allows artists to promote their work through their website. Even though there is a fee, artwork is featured throughout the web site including a page for people looking to buy original artwork. If anyone is looking to buy art, they can search by medium, theme, or artist.
How many times have you been on the hunt for an art competition? Artshow.com has gathered a variety of call to artists that can be organized into different categories depending on what you want you want to participate in.
Artshow.com also has a page designated for workshops, classes, and retreats. To find the best workshop for you, you can look at lists based on Location, media, and/or theme.
I stumbled across this website while I was searching for printmaking tutorials. I found some that I will be trying in the future but they have tutorials on all kinds of topics and mediums. They have also included a book list for those interested in learning more about art.
As always, I hope you enjoyed this week’s post. If you know of any other resourceful web sites please leave a comment below and I’ll make sure to check it out!
