Lately I’ve gotten into spray painting and I wanted to combine some 3D aspects to the paintings I’ve been working on. I came up with an idea to use hot glue as a way to make my work have more texture. It’s easy and the finished project is amazing. I started with drawing my design out on canvas and then I just traced over it with hot glue.
This takes some time because if the lines aren’t clean you’ll see it after its spray painted. I used gold and blue spray paint for my painting but depending on your design you might want to use acrylic paint.
It’s harder to get a nice balance when using two different colored spray paints. I think it’s worth it though because it gives it a nice air brushed look.
I hope I’ve inspired you to create some 3D hot glue designs of your own because there’s so much that can be done with it.
