I’ve been working a lot more on my personal blog for studying abroad this week. It’s coming up so fast and I still have so much to do before I go and now it’s going to be September so this is the month I leave. It still doesn’t feel real yet but I know as I get closer it will become more real. I can’t wait to share all of my new design experiences with all of you once I get there! September is Design month in London and they already have so many events scheduled around the city.
I’ve been working on the details of my blog and have been trying to customize as much of it as I can. I still can’t get the shadowed light effect off of my header image but I think I will just have to live with it. I am really happy with the feel of the blog and the colors and fonts. The menus still need some work but I think I need more posts to really figure them out.
I’ve also been working on some fun motifs to put on my header images to tie them into my swirly arrow theme. I made some arrows and swirls to place on top like a sticker to my images. This seemed like a way that I could customize my site a little on my own. Here our some samples of what I am thinking.
P.S. That is just a stock photo I found to test it out…but I will be taking tons of photos of London soon 🙂
P.P.S. Oh, and the address for my personal blog is gabbycgraphicdesign.wordpress.com if you would like to follow.
