Hi everyone! I can’t believe we only have 2 more weeks until school starts! As we get closer, I have been putting together even more decor for my apartment this year. My goal is to have everything on my walls be handmade by me, and these pieces I’m about to show you I am really excited to hang up!
To start, I finally thrifted some gold frames that fit these two screen prints that I made last fall. This has been on my list for a while and I am so happy I finally did it! They fit so perfectly and I can’t wait to see them on the wall.

Next, I took the frames that I up-cycled and painted from one of my past blog posts this summer, “Miscellaneous Summer Projects”, and used them to my advantage to creatively frame the two block prints I made this summer. I took some plain white paper and watercolored some colorful stripes onto the background that would compliment the colors of the block prints. Then I just glued the print onto the striped background and put it in the frame and voila! They came out so cute and colorful and I think this is really going to brighten up my room.

Lastly, this isn’t a piece I did this summer, but I wanted to share it because I love how it came out and I love finding new places to hang it up. This is just a little abstract painting that I did, and I also drew with sharpies on top for the details. Seems like using black ink on top of paintings is my favorite thing to do around here, lol! Anyway this one was so much fun and I love using blue and green colors because they are my favorite, and I can’t wait to hang it up again!

That’s all I have for this week, hope you enjoyed! I hope everyone is having a great last 2 weeks of their summer and getting ready for school! Are you excited for this school year, or not so much? Let me know in the comments, and also which one of these pieces is your favorite as well!
Thanks for reading,
Ella
