This week I was on vacation in Maryland and it was really nice to just lay on the beach and do nothing. Although I can’t go very long without keeping my mind busy. Some people like to read on the beach or just lay out and tan but I really enjoy sketching.. along with going into the ocean of course. It is interesting to be in different surroundings for a whole week and absorbing all of its beauty. Sketching helps me keep my creative juices flowing and it also inspires me to start a new project when I get back home. I love looking back at my sketches because its my own way of taking pictures of things or people I find interesting. On the way down to the beach I also was drawing in the car which I have never really done before because I usually get car sick. But surprisingly it helped take my mind off of feeling sick and it passed the time.
