This summer I made an effort to try and get my work out there. I got a lot of suggestions that I should put my art on Etsy. It’s been about a month and I haven’t made a sale yet. According to some successful shops on Etsy it might take several months before you make your first sale. I know a lot of art majors have turned to starting their own online shops even if it isn’t through Etsy. I think it’s easy to maintain while in school. It’s also perfect for getting your art out there and starting up a business. I know starting my Etsy shop may be a small step but in the end I hope it will have big rewards.
