Hi all! I’m excited to show you guys a piece I made at the end of last semester. This was for my Figure Drawing II class. I took this class because it aids me in getting my painting minor. Like I said a few weeks ago, figure drawing and painting is really a key part in understanding fine art. It is absolutely my favorite part. This was our final assignment and we worked on it for a few weeks. I used oil pastel, charcoal, and acrylic paint. We worked from two different models throughout the class. Towards the end of the project, instead of adding more figures I refined the piece as a whole. I solidified certain pieces, and blocked out others. It was a truly enjoyable process. And the piece went through so many changes. I can’t even remember what it looked like to begin with. I can’t wait for next semester because I’m going to frame it, and hopefully work on other pieces this large scale. This piece is 4 feet by 4 feet.
