I love making little things on the side. This time I made a birthday present for one of my friends. Our birthdays are five days apart from each other and we are both libras. So I made the libra constellation into a pendant. I wanted to make something delicate that she could wear everyday. Unfortunately she can’t wear earrings unless they are made out of gold because she is allergic to other metals. Fortunately that’s only a problem with earrings.

For the pendant I use brass wire and tubing. The circles represent each star in the constellation. It took a lot of careful soldering to make this piece. Once it was soldered I sanded everything to make sure it was smooth and there were no solder joints visible. After that I gave it a polish and it was ready to go!
