Welcome back, everybody! With the start of the new school year, there have been many exciting changes on campus!
One of which is the newly renovated and relocated Mahady Gallery, now in the lobby of the Insalaco Center for Studio Arts, which is currently holding the 2025 Art Faculty Biennial exhibition. Here, artworks created by art professors are on display.
The professors encourage you to join Marywood for the show’s Gallery Talk on Wednesday Sept 10 @ 3pm. This art exhibition runs Aug 25-Sept 27, 2025. Make time to come see the work!

The official Opening Reception was held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 5-7pm. I unfortunately was unable to attend, but the Art Dept Chair, Prof. Stephen Garrison, states that “it was a great turnout.”
Since returning to campus this week, I was able to check out the show, and here are some of my favorites!

This exhibition is the first show in this new gallery in 2025/2026, and I highly recommend checking it out yourself!
Prof. Stephen Garrison further mentions that “having the Mahady Gallery join the Kresge Student Gallery within the Insalaco building will allow for the integration of the exhibitions that we host into the daily fabric of the Art Department and our students. With the prospect of the Suraci Gallery also moving into the building over the course of the year, the integration of all aspects of our disciplines, from education to practice, will be more available than ever.” I couldn’t agree more with this statement.
As an illustration major, I find myself within the Insalaco building for 90% of my time on campus. With this addition, I can guarantee that I will be visiting the galleries and exhibits more.
