It’s never too late to book your senior photos and spring offers beautiful scenery for a session. With everything starting to bloom and the excitement of graduation right around the corner, its the perfect season to capture those final moments before moving on to the next chapter. Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph Arianna, a senior from Mid Valley High School, at one of my favorite locations, Little Rocky Glen Preserve.

What made this session stand out compared to other sessions, was that I was able to practice with my new 85 mm lens. Going into the session I was intimidated, but the quality and end result, came out flawless and exceeded my expectations. Little Rocky Glen is also one of my favorite hidden gems to visit, and the lens not only brought out the beauty of my client, but also highlighted the scenic creeks and fields the of Little Rocky Glen.

My favorite part of the shoot was the shots we got with her inside the creek. Although we both had doubts around it at first the photos came out, both majestic and ethereal and was definitely worth the risk.

Overall, throughout my journey as photographer. I learned that investing in new equipment, such as 85 mm lens will expand my portfolio and skill. I was so proud and impressed with how the shoot came out and I cannot wait to experiment more in future sessions with my new lens!
