Start of Summer Projects

Hi Everyone! I hope you all are enjoying the summer so far, I know I am! I have so many crafts and little projects I want to do this summer, I have so many inspirations pinned on Pinterest. This week I started scrapbooking pictures from my junior year! I am personally not going to show those pages, but I love being crafty and using decorative paper and things of that nature to create cute scrapbook pages. Also, of course I have been doing some watercolor here and there, so here are a few of the small watercolors I’ve done so far!

I made a birthday card for my sister, some bookmarks because I am also doing a lot of reading, and a small mountain and flower scene with one of my favorite bible verses I just wanted to pin on my desk. I realized that I love watercolor and using black pen as details with watercolor so much because I don’t have to make it perfect. I like the style of it being loose and messy but also just being decorative and colorful.

This week I also picked up some materials to start doing some linocut printmaking and stamping from home, and I am so excited to start experimenting! I am doing an independent study in printmaking this upcoming fall, so experimenting with some more techniques before that is not only making me more excited but allowing me to figure out what I want my focus to be. I am so excited to try it and in the next few blog posts you will definitely see some results!

That’s all I have for now, I encourage everyone to experiment with a technique they’ve never done before as well this summer!

Thanks for reading,
Ella
