New Beginnings

It’s been two weeks since the end of the spring semester, and with endings come a bunch of new beginnings! This is my first post here at Where Creativity Works, so it seems fitting to talk about all the new things happening around me. So far, being at home has inspired me to start plenty of new things.

I’ve completely redone my old bedroom, picked up a ton of new books to read throughout the summer, and I’ve decided to start a new sketchbook. My goal is to create something new everyday this summer. It’ll help build my portfolio, which can always use new works, and it’ll give me the opportunity to try new techniques. Sometimes I get stuck in a cycle of drawing the same thing over and over trying to perfect it. With this new sketchbook, it gives me a fresh start to play around with new ideas and keep my creativity flowing.

If you’re stuck in a creative rut, or just need something fun to do over the summer, I encourage you to start your own daily sketchbook. It’s a fun and simple way to keep your creative mind at work!
