This semester I’m taking a package design class. On the first day of class we were given a list of projects that we’ll be doing throughout the semester.

My professor, John Meza, also showed us examples of past student work and I was absolutely mindblown by the creativity of those who have come before me. I was very inspired and I’m looking forward to the pieces I’ll be creating in that class.

I have also been drawing inspiration from products on the shelf at Target. There is opportunity for printmaking in everything I see at any store.

My goal is to incorporate printmaking into my package designs, even if it’s just a small element such as an embossed logo. I have lots of ideas and now that I’m back on campus I’ll be able to make them all happen.
