A few weeks ago, I took a trip to Philadelphia with my second family (my boyfriend and his family) to visit the Philadelphia Zoo. I have not been there since I was really little, so I was excited to take this day to get in some photography with fun animals.
The weather was hot, so the animals weren’t very active, but seeing them was still a great experience. My favorite animals to watch were the otters, snakes, bats, and the tiger.
The tiger kept walking around his sanctuary, and even took a dip in his little pool due to the heat. As for the bats, I just found them so interesting to watch, especially when they would open their wings and the light would hit them at just the right angle.
My favorite photo from that day, however, was the flamingos. In fact, my boyfriend’s mom loved it so much, she asked me to print it out so she could frame it and hang it in her house!
One of my favorite things I remembered about the zoo from when I was younger was that the peacocks roamed freely, and I was very happy to see that they still do that nearly 10 years later.
If you have never been down to the Philly Zoo, I really suggest it!
