Revelations Student Show

A collection of art students from Marywood University assembled an exhibition in the Kresge Gallery titled Revelations: Reflections of our Society. All the artwork presented in the exhibition are responses to the social situation that is being experienced by the nation and the individual. The art is a creative reflection that is beyond the artists themselves.

A statement made by the current President of  Marywood University, Sister Mary, and the IHM sisters was quoted in the Revelations description which is; “Our Catholic identity and our core value of respect compel us to stand with out alumni, faculty, staff, and students in compassion for refugees, immigrants, and vulnerable people everywhere. We do so with conviction and in the spirit of justice. Furthermore, we stand with our international faculty and students to support them in every way we can.” The quote was from a response about President Donald Trump and the immigration ban that was in place.

Below are artworks that were on display at the Revelations exhibition.
