Four years ago, I was asked by a former sculpture major of Marywood’s art department if I would be interested in taking a blogging position. I said yes, of course, because I wanted to share my love of creating. I’ve had the privilege to blog about sculpture and the many forms that it comes in. Fast forward to now, I’m graduating this Friday and I will continue to do what I love. It is now someone else’s turn to share their work and passion for sculpture.
It is a bittersweet feeling but it’s time for a change. I share with you my last project ever made at Marywood; A tea pot. For my Jewelry class I was assigned to make a metal tea pot. Over the semester I was also assigned raising projects and I used those to create this form. It was not easy but with patience I made a working tea pot even though it should not be used. I loved how this project turned out and I feel that it shows my growth in metal.
I hope that these past several years have been enjoyable to the people have read my posts. I know that I have enjoyed sharing it with everyone. Thank you for all your support!
