Over Thanksgiving break I got the opportunity to work on the painting that I was commissioned to do. Of course I didn’t get the chance to finish it because the canvas is three feet by two feet. In my post called Progression I talked about the “rough draft” of the painting that I made to make sure the client liked the layout first. The next thing that I had to do was draw the picture out to scale. Now all that’s left is for me to finish painting.
Unfortunately I underestimated the amount of time it would take to complete. The most time consuming part of this project is the detail work in the painting. The collage of shoes have important details that cannot be looked over. Hopefully I will have it done over winter break and I’ll be able to show the finished piece!
